As you can see Bill Clinton’s response to being interrupted in his speech was to bring up the recent townhall shouting matches. (Hat tip to ThinkProgress)
But interestingly the interrupter’s explanation was that he realized there would not be a question period.
The crowd here at Netroots can be pretty demanding. At least half the exchanges between politicians and questioners have had testy moments. Fully half the crowd was booing Harold Ford last year. But at the same time we have every right to be tough with these guys and when they show up 2 hours late and aren’t taking questions they’re not respecting us and they’re not giving us any reason to respect the normal process of a speech.
